Warrior’s Place is a proposed community center that will bring mental and emotional healing to Israel’s combat vets. We are currently in the initial funding stage.*
Warrior’s Place* is a 24/7 safe space for Veterans of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to come and recover from suicidal ideations and PTSD.
Israel’s veteran warriors are invited to stop by, any day, any time, day or night, to rest, recover, grab a bite, and meet a friend, without judgment, no questions asked.
With the suicide rate of IDF veterans reaching new heights, the Ministry of Veteran Affairs is overwhelmed. That's why we're here. We don't ask questions, we just show love and acceptance. We give vets the resources they need to recover and move on to the next stage in their lives.
*Warrior’s Place is a concept that is still in the initial funding stages. Everything presented on this website is for demonstration purposes. Warriors Place is not yet an actual funded enterprise.

Demographics
Times of Israel report dated October 12, 2023:
The Israel Defense Forces saw an increase in the number of soldiers killed in uniform over the past year — 44 compared to the previous year’s 31 — as well as a significant rise in the number of suicides, according to statistics released by the military on Tuesday.
Suicide remained the leading cause of death, with at least 14 soldiers believed to have taken their own lives in 2022, compared to 11 the year prior.
Most of the suicides in the IDF last year were conscripted male troops,
Brig. Gen. Yoram Knafo, chief of staff of the IDF Manpower Directorate, told reporters. He said two of the 14 cases were lone soldiers, troops who either do not have family in Israel or are not supported by their families in Israel.

Yoga & Sound Healing
Two nights each week yoga classes are provided. Two nights each week therapeutic sound bathing sessions are held.
Psychoeducation
Weekly psychoeducational lectures are held in the evenings. Lectures are held by prominent mental health professionals from around Israel and visiting mental health experts from around the world.

Peer counselors travel to army bases, lone-soldier hostels, corporate campuses, and university and college campuses throughout the country offering veteran support and letting veterans know about the services provided by Warrior’s Place.
Advocacy & Professional Counseling
For clients that need more than peer counseling, Warrior’s Place employs a full-time social worker. In addition to providing professional counseling services, through hands-on advocacy our full-time social worker helps veterans access the often evasive services that are legally available to them.
Group Therapy
Provided by both peer counselors and professional staff, Warrior’s Place provides group counseling sessions to IDF veterans with the goal of reintegration into civilian life, suicide prevention, anger management, and PTSD recovery.
Family Support
At Warrior’s Place, peer and professional support extend to the family members of those we serve. By providing support for the family members of traumatized IDF veterans, who themselves are often dealing with trauma, the support and services provided by Warrior’s Place become a holistic basket of complementary support; the type of support that empowers our veterans to overcome crisis and move to a healthier place in their lives.
